The History of
Santa Rosa Christian School
Sixteen students arrived for the first day
of class at Santa Rosa Christian School in
September 1967. The families who chose to enroll
children that year in the new school were making
a conscious decision on their part to provide a
unique Christian educational experience for
their children. In 1967, there were two classes:
one for students in first through third grade
and another for students in fourth through
eighth grade. Today Santa Rosa Christian School provides
a comprehensive academic program to students
from kindergarten through high school.
Santa Rosa Christian School is an inter-denominational private school
governed by a Board of Directors. Board members,
as well as employees of the school, have made a
profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and
purpose to live lives according to God’s word.
The Bible is studied and its basic fundamental
truths are taught. In areas of sectarian
difference, students are advised to seek
guidance from their parents or minister. The
school has a non-discriminatory racial and
religious policy and admits students of any
religion, race, color, or ethnic origin to all
the rights, privileges, programs and activities
available to all students. The administration,
however, reserves the right to dismiss or refuse
admission to anyone unwilling to comply with the
school’s standards or unable to achieve the
school’s level of academic rigor. New
students are enrolled on a probationary basis
for the first quarter grading period.
