Santa Rosa Christian School - Independent Study Program

The Santa Rosa Christian School Independent Study Program (ISP) has been in existence for over twenty years.  In its history, it has blossomed into a program that offers many features and distinctions.  We are thankful to the Lord for the way He has provided for the development of these features, and also for the wonderful families that come to this program.  The ISP program is offered for children in grades K-12th. 

Santa Rosa Christian School's ISP program program provides the following:

• Two administrators who were former classroom teachers. They are thoroughly dedicated to the Independent Study Program. These administrators oversee every aspect of the program;
   

• ISP coordinators who are born-again Christians, to work with individual families. They are familiar with independent study materials and have taught their own children through independent study.  Each family is assigned a coordinator and meets with their coordinator on a monthly basis for support, encouragement and accountability;
   

• A monthly ISP Parent Meeting, which consists of business and announcements, support and special speakers;
   

• ISP sponsored activities, field trips, classes, workshops, parties, ice skating, junior and senior high activities, yearbook, book clubs, and an ISP library:  you pick and choose from among the various activities as your schedule allows;
   

• 8th and 12th grade graduation ceremonies;
   

• An ISP monthly newsletter;
   

• Access to SRCS day campus activities:  band, choir, and competitive sports;
   

• Stanford Achievement Tests (SAT) in the spring with all accompanying documentation for your child's cum folder. 
   

• Placement of students cumulative files in the SRCS main office, and assistance in updating the file each year;
   

• Training and assistance for parents in the development of their student's high school program and with transcripts;
   

• Networking with other independent study families, and providing information on independent study publications and conventions;
   

• Your children are enrolled under the Santa Rosa Christian School private school affidavit with the State of California.

ISP Fees

Families participating in the Santa Rosa Christian School Independent Study Program are required to be members of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA).  As a member of the SRCS ISP program, families receive a discount in the annual membership fees.

• An Application Fee of $25 Per Student is due with your student's initial application for admission to the program.
   

• The Registration Fee of $35 is due annually.
