Dear Prospective Family

Santa Rosa Christian School began in 1967 by a group of parents, business leaders and educators coming together to provide a unique interdenominational Christian educational program for students. Today we continue their vision and are excited that you are interested in attending our school. The following is a list of expectations we continuously strive for and exceed at Santa Rosa Christian School:

  • Effective, well-trained Christian teachers who love the Lord, their subject and their students.

  • Nurturing classrooms managed by teachers who are committed to God-honoring excellence and who strive to model Jesus Christ in all of their living. "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self control"  Galations 5:22.

  • Daily Bible Instruction:  every subject taught is integrated with truth and Christian values contained in the Bible.  Prayer is an important part of every student's day.

  • Santa Rosa Christian School, being inter-denominational, is staffed by educators who teach Biblical views which are held common and which agree that the Bible is the Word of God, that Jesus Christ is the Risen Son of God and the only way to salvation.

  • All students are taught to seek forgiveness for sin, accept Jesus as their Savior, take personal initiative to study God's Word and make it their primary objective to love, serve and honor Jesus Christ.

  • Rigorous educational instruction presented so that students can succeed with reasonable effort.  Reasoning, critical thinking and internalization of Christian values are important educational goals.

  • Our teachers view parents as the primary educators of their child, under God.  Christian teachers receive their authority to teach from the children's parents.

  • Parents can expect written or personal communication from the teachers which will allow parents to better support their student in their studies to raise a grade, should an academic grade begin to slip below acceptable levels.

  • Parents are always welcome at school.  Parent/teacher conferences may be arranged through the school office.  If student difficulties or differences with the school arise, Santa Rosa Christian School is committed to working with parents and students to a resolution of the difficulties.

  • SRCS values small class size and the teacher's ability to give students a personalized learning environment.

  • Excellence is SRCS' standard, not our goal.  We are committed to doing all things "heartily, as unto the Lord" (Col. 3:23).  We look forward to you joining in SRCS' vision for your success.
